Round 1
20 students were shortlisted based on CGPA criteria.
Round 2-Online test of 90 minutes
Online Test- Consists of around 60 questions from quantitative aptitude and 50 questions from english.
Round 3-Next day of OT
Personal Interview by a panel of 2 or 3 members
one member will be from technical background and the other member will be from HR, they will ask to introduce yourself-keep it brief and to the point, how you give your intro decides the course of the interview
Few technical questions which I remember
- Will you prefer office work or site work-Never say office work
- Why site work-told that I like to overcome challenges and working at a site will provide me with more exposure
- Challenging part of interview-Extempore-They will ask to pickup a chit from a bowl and speak on the topic for a minute after 15 seconds of thinking
It means you will not go to a foreign country if we send you an job there Told an honest NO-Satisfied smile on both faces !

L&T constructions had visited my college to recruit students of 2018 batchRound 1
30 students were shortlisted based on their CGPA.We had a aptitude test consisting of 2 sections.The two sections had a combined time limit of 100 mins.
- Quantitative aptitude and logical reasoning -60 questions
- Verbal – 51 questions
Round 2
20 students out of 30 were shortlisted for interview. Interview had 2 sections
Technical questions
- Explain the various SOM properties like strength , toughness , hardness , ductility , malleability
- What is the relations between these properties?
- How will you measure these properties?
- Stress strain curve
- Questions from area of interest
Non technical questions
- Tell me about yourself
- Are you willing to relocate
- A random topic was given and the candidates were asked to talk about it for 2 mins. Topics were mostly proverbs.
Experience-3
Interview process consisted of hodgepodge of questions containing both HR and Technical questions.Firstly, the interviewer thoroughly asked questions about my resume. The questions would be about:
- Your educational qualifications.
- Workshops you attended.
- Internship program you underwent (If any).
- Extra-curricular activities if mentioned
Interviewer asked my area of interest and asked question on that topic.
My area of interest was Thermodynamics.
Questions were:
- Detailed explanation of any one law of Thermodynamics.
- Applications of the law.
- About Air standard cycles.
- Design of Heat Exchangers.
- Working of 4-stroe Diesel Engine.
- What is Scavenging.
- What is an Ideal cycle.
- About Thermodynamic Equilibrium.
- Types of pipe fittings.
- About Refrigeration cycle.
- Why should I hire a Mechanical Engineer?
- Questions about my family members.
- How will you cope up with the site work?
- Posting related questions.
For some of my friends the interviewer asked their least favourite topic and questioned in that topic, so be prepared.
Experience-4
Vicky Kumar (ECE)
No of Rounds: 2
Overview
You'll need to go through a Aptitude test which also includes some technical question from your respective branch. Later you'll be asked for Interview. In which if you pass will be asked for Medical examination. Later you'll have a placement offer letter in your hand.
Technical Interview
They'll ask your area of interest and it's relationship with the Company means How your technical knowlege can contribute to the Company. Mostly related to your area of interest. They will also ask question from your projects.
Prepare mostly from antenna part. And also from your internship if any.
HR Interview
They will ask about strong and weak points. Tell them you are a fast learner as your strong Point and you can concentrate on only one Point at a time as your weak Point. Later you will be given a topic and will be ask a positive and negative Point on it.
Be calm and Confident. They will ask same question by different ways. Give them the same answer.
