It was a pool campus of NIT Patna and IIT Patna at NIT Patna for ME/ECE/CS/IT. It was comprised of 3 rounds. Online test was conducted at both colleges on 4th oct'17 after ppt round.
Round 1
Online test pattern: Two sections: -Section 1:
Numerical ability, Analytical reasoning and verbal. Each sub-section has sectional cut-off. Numerical and verbal was of average level but analytical section was quite tough. Maximum number of students failed due to this section. Each section has 25 questions to be solved in 60 min.Section 2:
Technical round consist of 45 questions to be solved in 30 minutes. Questions were more based on theoretical part, more focused on Manufacturing and Thermodynamics.As soon as the test over, they announce the result. Out of 132 students who sat for test, only 18 selected for further round of which 6 from ME,5 from ECE and 7 from CSE/IT.
Round 2
Group Discussion - 5th oct'17. All together 18 students were divided into 2 groups of 10 each. Each group were given 30 min of time. It was quite difficult for discussing for 30 min. 3 panels were monitoring all these. The topic of my GD was " India has a lot of talent but devoid of innovations". Luckily, we made it for 30 min :) . No one was eliminated. Scores of GD was added for final assessment.Round 3
Final Interview:CS/IT guys was told to wait for further process as they were to be interviewed on Skype. one panel was for ME and other for ECE. They generally took 40 min of interview for each candidate. I was interviewed for 35 min approx. As I entered, he told me to be seated. He looks dangerous but was quite polite and helpful during my whole interview. He start looking on my application form which we were instructed to fill. His first question was- "Just give me a brief introduction of your educational background, family background and where do you see yourself after 3 years?". Then after he asked me about my summer intern. He covered almost every topic from SOM to IC engine, but all were basic. No HR questions only technical and technical. You should be very good in technical for L&T Powai. At last, he asked me to rate my interview and if I have any questions to ask.
Result were announced after 4 days as they compile the marks of 10th, 12th, online test, GD and interview. 3 students were selected from ME and 2 from ECE and luckily I was in one of them.
