Round-1 -- Aptitude Test (90 mins).
Round-2 -- Technical Interviews (For the students shortlisted in the Aptitude Test).
Round -3 – HR Interview

Eligibility Criteria: Streams Eligible- (B. Tech - CSE, ECE, EEE, ME, CE)
CGPA: Above 5.

1.Narottam (ME NIT Sikkim)

I am Narottam, final year ME undergraduate at NIT Sikkim. I got selected in Technoforte Software through the campus placement drive. Below is my complete experience for the recruitment at Technoforte Software for the post of Junior Software Engineer. The recruitment process consisted of 3 rounds-


1st Round - Aptitude test

It consisted of 46 questions and the time allotted was 90 minutes. Questions were of very basic and easy aptitude level. If you are average in aptitude then also you will be able to solve 30+ questions.


Round 2 - Technical Interview

It started with the introduction. I was asked to introduce myself. Then questions were asked from my hobby. As I was from Mechanical background, so this interview was more about the basics. The interviewer asked questions from C- programming basics like For loop, while loop. Then he asked me about my favourite subject in my stream. 2-3 questions from that particular subject and he was checking my communication skill. The interview lasted for 12-13 minutes.


Round 3- HR interview

  • This interview again started with the introduction part. Then about my family background.
  • Then she started to ask me about my projects and internships during my engineering.
  • Next question was - You are from Mechanical department, why you are opting for this job?
  • For these types of questions there is no pre planned answer. It depends on situation like it in which company you are giving interview?
  • I said that for past few months I have been learning some programming languages and I have done well on it. The IT fields is very vast and one can explore more so I opt for this job.
  • Then she talked about the package and interview ended. It lasted for around 10 minutes.

2.Prashant Gupta (ECE- NIT SIKKIM)

I am Prashant Gupta, final year ECE undergraduate at NIT Sikkim. I got selected in Technoforte Software through the campus placement drive. Below is my complete experience for the recruitment at Technoforte Software for the post of Junior Software Engineer. The recruitment process consisted of 3 rounds-

1st Round - Aptitude test

It consisted of 46 questions and the time allotted was 90 minutes. Questions were of very basic and easy aptitude level questions were mainly from electronics(Gate and the circuit output) and it (DSA and some basic programming output. If you are average in aptitude then also you will be able to solve 30+ questions. Out of 150 student 27 got shortlisted for next round.

Round 2 - Technical Interview

It started with the introduction. I was asked to introduce myself. Then questions were asked from my project why I have created that product, Future use of product, Challenges I have faced during project. He asked me which programming language I am comfortable with I replied Python he asked me few questions from python, then he asked me about my favourite subject in my stream. 2-3 questions from that particular subject, He asked me about my hobbies and I replied cricket then he asked me about my favourite IPL team, few more question from cricket and through this he was checking my communication skill. The interview lasted for 15-20 minutes.
Out of 27 student 10 got shortlisted for next round.

Round 3- HR interview

  • This interview again started with the introduction part. Then about my family background.
  • Then she started to ask me about my projects and internships during my engineering.
  • Next question was - You are from Electronics and have experience in your stream, why you are opting for this job?
  • I said that for past few months I have been learning some programming languages and participating in competitive coding I have done well on it. The IT fields is very vast and one can explore more so I opt for this job.
  • She asked me what do you know about the company? Be prepared for such kind of question go through company website and LinkedIn.
  • Then she explained me about the package and interview ended. It lasted for around 15 minutes
